Micro Helicopter Training Installation

One of the most asked questions among newbie RC helicopter pilots is how to install the training gear. For some reasons, training gear manufacturers don’t always provide instruction. The reason behind it….? Your guess is good as my guess…They may just think that it is too easy that you wouldn’t need any instruction. I always consider myself an averaged person when it comes to handling these things, but I could not figure this out myself either when I first got my E-flight Blade CP. I ended up asking a guy at my Local Hobby Store to show me how. Yes, it is very easy once you know how to do it, but for some newbie RC helicopter pilots, I am sure this instruction will help and save you some time figuring it out on your own.

I -Theses are the training gear parts:

  1. Four training gear bars with balls installed at the end and held up by the fuel tubing
  2. Four skid clippers
  3. One Center Hub

II-Install the skid clipper onto the skid at each strut as shown. Make sure the skid clippers are secured onto the skid and strut. If they are not holding up, use some Loctite and let it dry (don’t use CA).

III - Place the Center Hub as shown in the picture. If you place the Center Hub up side down, it will not produce pressure to hold up the training gear bar

IV- Place the Center Hub as shown in the picture. If you place the Center Hub up side down, it will not produce pressure to hold up the training gear bar

V -Check and make sure everything is secured and if not use some Loctite. Helicopter was removed to provide clear picture of the fully assembled training gear.
